Prescription for unhappiness
George Bernard Shaw said “I do not believe in circumstances the people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can’t find them they make them.
I know is difficult to accept the fact that you are the cause of your own misery it is very upsetting when you begin to see yourself as your own worse enemy.
On the other hand, this understanding is your biggest blessing. If you know that you can create your own misery; then you know that you can also create your own happiness.
I am not asking you to believe you are responsible for all your experiences in life. Rather I am asking you to believe you are the cause of all your experiences on life, meaning that you are responsible for all your reactions to everything that happens to you.
Keep in mind that whenever you are not taking responsibilities, you put yourself in a position of pain, and consequently decrease your ability to control the things that you can in your life.
Recently, I came across of a prescription for unhappiness. Which I believe has been the functioning philosophy of many people.
I always wonder what makes unhappy people thick. If you are looking for a new way to be unhappy perhaps one or two of these ideas will motivate you to greater power of despair
1. Make little things bother you. Don’t just let them, make them.
2. Loose your perspective of things and keep it a lost. Don’t put first things first.
3. Get your self a good worry. Worry about that which you cannot do anything about. Just worry.
4. Be a perfectionist condemn yourself and others for not achieving perfection.
5. Be right, always right, perfectly right, all the time. Be the only one who is right and be rigid about your rightness.
6. Don’t trust or believe people or accept them at anything but their worst and weakest be suspicious impute and accuse them of ulterior motivations all the time.
7. Always compare yourself to other people which is the guaranty of instant misery
8. Take personally, with a chip on your shoulder everything that happens to you that you don’t like
9. Don’t give yourself whole heartily or enthusiastically to any one or anything.
10. Make unhappiness the aim of your life. And you are guaranty to be unhappy for the rest of your days.
If you follow this prescription regularly you will be guaranty to be the must miserable creature God ever created
